
We are a statutory body with our own advisory Board and our activities are guided by the NSW Parliament under the Tourism NSW Act (1984).
Tourism NSW is a branch of the State & Regional Development and Tourism division of the Department of Industry and Investment NSW.
Industry and Investment NSW is one of the 13 departments announced by the NSW Premier in June 2009.
Industry & Investment NSW has been established to assist in building a diversified state economy that creates jobs. The Department's aim is to attract investment to NSW and support innovative, sustainable and globally competitive industries through strong techincal knowledge and scientific capabilities. www.industry.nsw.gov.au
Tourism NSW's mission is to:
Increase NSW domestic and international visitor nights and expenditure to drive economic growth for those businesses that tap into tourism and the NSW community as a whole.
