Tourism NSW India Mission

13 - 19 September 2009

The 2009 India Mission was designed to showcase Sydney and NSW tourism products to key trade partners and travel trade media, and to educate and increase the knowledge of agents about destinations, experiences and individual products in NSW via trade workshop events.
 
The India Mission visited the cities of New Delhi, Ahmedabad and Mumbai. Workshops were organised in each city with agents and product managers invited to attend. Travel trade media also attended selected workshop events. Attendees had the opportunity to network with key agents at organised evening networking events in New Delhi and Mumbai.

Sydney born and raised Opera Singer Amelia Farrugia entertained guests at a number of functions during the mission.

Tourism NSW supported the trade mission through the International Industry Incentive Funding scheme which was launched in March 2009. The funding program provides assistance to NSW tourism operators who may not otherwise be able to gain access to key international markets. Read more>
