The StartSmart Guide is a general introduction to the tourism industry, focusing on the industry in New South Wales.

It is written for people who may have little or no knowledge of the tourism industry, but is also relevant to Tourism Managers, Visitor Information Centres, Tourism Industry Associations, Regional Tourism Organisations and groups and individuals with an interest in tourism management.

The guide provides a framework to enable operators to research and plan their own tourism businesses.

The guide was last updated in April 2006.
